Sandra Blow (1925-2006) British, an abstract study in red, mixed media on panel, signed and dated '52, 49 cm x 39 cm in a contemporary frame.
Private collection, from the estate of the late Irving Goodman. He and Sandra Blow were working at the Royal College of Art together in the 1960s and had a personal relationship. Following them splitting up, Sandra Blow gave Irving the painting as a result of this relationship. It had been on display in the family home ever since.
Quintessa Art Collection Ltd 2006 label verso (the painting having been later re-framed, along with many other paintings owned by the family).
