Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003 film), a 'Cursed Aztec' pendant, of the same design worn by Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) on a necklace in the film. The plot saw 6 identical examples intended for close-ups, that were pieces of Aztec gold, which laid upon the cursed 'Treasure of Cortés', the crew of the Black Pearl searching for all of missing pieces and Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann gaining possession of the 'medallion'. The medallion is gold-plated metal with a skull and solar design to one side, a geometric pattern to the reverse, 6 cm diameter, weighing 66.9g.
This example is consigned by the designer and maker of the medallion, Keir Lusby, Prop Maker at Shepperton Studios at the time of the film, who has provided a letter of authenticity.
