A French Empire gilt bronze clock, depicting Aphrodite riding a shell propelled by swans and followed by a cherub playing a lyre and riding a dolphin, above a frieze depicting a seated Jupiter and Juno, attended by Mercury, Neptune, Apollo and other Classical figures, on floral scoll bracket feet, the French two train brass movement strking on a bell with a count wheel, 54 cm high, 51 cm wide (No pendulum)

Condition Report
There is no pendulum with this lot, the bell looks to be a later replacement. The bevel for the glazed movement door is loose and there is an extra screwhole above a current screw. The breguet hands are bent slightly to contour with the dial. Aphrodite may have been holding an object in her left hand (see additional images) Overall appearance is very good.
