William Johnson, The Strand, A William IV figured rosewood single fusee Library Timepiece, with folding gilt brass bale handle and a compensated spring balance escapement, the gilt brass Roman dial with enamelled numerals and blued halberd hands, bearing the maker's name, the backplate deeply engraved also with the maker's name. The case with ogee and stop fluted mouldings on compressed bun feet. 17 cm overall width x 15 cm overall depth x 24cm high.

The movement winds freely and runs strongly, without hesitation.
The dial looks untouched with a soft mellow patina
The hands are still fully blued and un-bent (if that is a word)
The movement has a key
The case, top handle, OK, Escapement lens OK, veneer is missing from the left-hand side of the top lens and, right-hand top return moulding missing,
Back door has some veneer damage.
