A Japanese four-case lacquer inro, Meiji period, late 19th century, with simulated oxidized iron finish and applied mixed metal appliques including chrysanthemum, rooster, quail and deer, 9.5 cm long x 5 cm wide. Together with another four-case brown lacquer inro painted with gilt chrysanthemums, 8 cm long x 4.5 cm wide, and carved hardwood netsuke in the form of a seated Buddhistic lion with a two-character inscription. 3.4 cm long x 2,5 cm wide

The main item has a very small chip on the edge of one of the middle cases, see images
The secondary item has some slight damage to the lacquer in the region the cord is passed through but it looks to be just in the lacquer
The netsuke is in good order
