Augustin Julia-Plana - a diamond and emerald suite comprising a collar necklace, a bracelet, a ring and a cocktail watch; the necklace is constructed with twisting wires, encrusted all over with round brilliant-cut diamonds and square step-cut emeralds, completed with a concealed box clasp, 42.0 cm in length; an articulated bracelet of tapered conforming design, 18.0 cm long; a matching ring with diamond and emerald cluster between bifurcated shoulders, ring head 2.5 x 2.0 cm, size N; and a matching cocktail watch by Schlegel & Plana, with a round silver sunburst dial, square-cut emeralds markers on the cardinal points, with the National emblem of Oman to the face, to an integral strap, signed Schelgel & Plana, Swiss assay marks for 18ct, 17.5 cm in length; all pieces are signed ‘Julia Plana’ and in white metal stamped ‘750’, total weight of items 164.0 grams, in a case with hand-drawn Bahrain emblem. Schlegel & Plana was a Swiss watchmaking brand established in 1963 through the collaboration between watchmaker Simon Schlegel and Spanish jeweler Augustin Julia-Plana.

This piece has descend directly from Sheikh Abdul-Amir Khazal, whose distinguished career included serving as the Ambassador of the King of Persia to Kuwait and later as Master of Ceremonies at the Shah’s Royal Palace until the late 1970s. Presented as a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman to the Sheikh and his wife, Sheikha Khazal, and bearing the Sultan’s personal emblem, this piece has remained within the family's collection for over four decades.
