A large Early Victorian shell cameo by Tommaso Saulini, depicting the side profile of Charlotte Susan Campbell (Nee Dick) with ringlet curls in a laced veil, collet-set to a surround with Stafford knots, brooch fittings to the back, cameo signed, yellow metal testing as 18ct, 7.5 x 7.0 cm, 30.2 grams.

Charlotte Susan Campbell (Nee Dick) (1819-1848) has married to Major Archibald Lorne Campbell (1804-1883), an officer of the First Regiment of the Bengal Light Cavalry.
The Campbells have travelled to Rome during their honeymoon and meet the artist for the commissioned cameo.
