A Mid-Victorian gem-set serpent necklace, comprising tapering flexible links, both ends terminate with tongue clasps connecting to the snake head, fully encrusted with multi-sized old-cut diamonds, a pear-cut emerald applied to the forehead, and ruby cabochons as eyes, yellow metal links testing as 18ct, fittings and snake head testing as 14ct, overall length 40.5 cm, 53.5 grams.
