A 1968 Omega Speedmaster Professional ref. 145.012 'moon watch' stainless steel chronograph wristwatch the matte black dial with luminous Tritium baton hour markers and white hands, and a fifths of seconds track, three dials for seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, marked 'T Swiss Made T' with black tachymeter bezel, in a stainless steel case, the case back with engraved Omega Hippocampus. The mechanical hand wound 17 jewel cal. 321 movement numbered 25005342. With original antimagnetic dust cap. The case back stamped 145012-68 SP. The stainless steel bracelet numbered 1171/1. 42 mm case. Note: Omega produced the Speedmaster Professional ref. 145.012 from 1967 until 1968 It was the reference that was famously worn by astronauts during the moon landing in 1969. Provenance: bought new by the vendors husband in the late 1960s.
