An Impressive early 20th century American seven piece tea and coffee service by Dominick and Hass; comprising a tea kettle on stand, teapot, coffee pot, hot water jug, cream jug, sugar bowl, slop bowl and tray. Of neoclassical vase form, the sides profusely chased and engraved with scrolls, shells and foliage; pierced circular spreading bases, and leaf-capped and mounted handles and spouts; the domed covers with bud finials. Tea tray with monogram engraved to centre. All pieces with commemorative engraving to the undersides, reading: - Mrs Herbert W Young, Chicago, Ill, August 18th 1927'. Maker’s mark and sterling marks to base, with the capacity of each piece. Tray 66cm length. 330ozt, 10264 grams. IVORY EXEMPTION CERTIFICATE NUMBER: 6DLAF1JG
