Original Production Script, reprinted June 16, 1980, screenplay by Michael Wellen from the novel Ragtime by E.L. Doctorow, Dino De Laurentiis Corp., within yellow card covers with two brass brads, 142-pages on white sheets with pink revision sheets, the film directed by Miloš Forman, stars James Cagney in his final film appearance, as well as early roles for Samuel L. Jackson and Jeff Daniels, 22 x 28cm; together with,

James Cagney (1899-1986) a pair of black and white publicity photographs, numbered in pencil on reverse, each 10 x 8 inches; and a copy of Ragtime Journal No. 1, featuring articles relating to the film’s director, producer, writers, cast and crew, 36 x 53cm.

Provenance:

The Collection of the late Malcolm Christopher (1932-2021) who worked on the film and is credited as Production Manager. Malcolm worked in the film and television industry as location manager, production manager, production supervisor, associate producer and line producer, his credits include, The Saint (1962-1969), The Persuaders (1971-1972), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), Barry Lyndon (1975), Rollerball (1975), Voyage of the Damned (1976), Raise the Titanic (1980), Never Say Never Again (1983), Death Wish 3 (1985), Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991) and many others.
