A Victorian amethyst brooch, containing a large oval-cut amethyst of 20.6 x 17.5 mm, within a lozenge-shaped surround, applied with embossed floral motifs and engraved with scrollwork design, brooch fittings to verso, unmarked yellow metal testing 18ct, 4.7 cm wide, total weight of item 14.0 grams.
