Over the festive period, Dawsons provided a rare opportunity to bid on a unique piece of musical history. Music legend Sir Paul McCartney was interviewed by Golden Globe-winning actor Idris Elba on BBC1 on Saturday 19th December 2020, during the interview Idris played this very guitar with Paul and they both signed it after the show.

Paul signed the guitar 'Hey Idris! Cheers Thanks, Paul McCartney 2020'.

Idris signed the guitar 'Wow!! Keep Safe!! Idris Elba'.

Some frenetic bidding ensued, and this unique piece of musical history finally sold for £10,500!

The guitar was sold in aid of the charity S.T.O.R.M. which provides support and shelter to those suffering from domestic abuse. Domestic abuse has seen a significant increase over lockdown, and the funds raised will immediately aid those in need during this holiday season. The charity will receive 100% of the proceeds.
